Meet Katixa! Katixa Espinoza (@kattidk) is a Miami native Latina writer residing in Brooklyn. Her works can be found on OCCULUM, YesPoetry and other places as well. She is currently looking to publish her first chapbook. When she isn’t interrogating the world around her - she writes sad bilingual music and jokes on @kattidk on twitter. We'll be publishing her poetry and personal essay Made In Miami: a nonfiction piece on growing up with Power 96, Pitbull, and Miami Latin Freestyle music and seeing it meet its death with the whiteness of EDM.
Meet Adanya (@adanyas_notebook). She's a writer, performer and geography nerd. She's been studying dance and music since she was a child and loves examining art's impact on our societies and attitudes. Check out her piece on Les Amazones d'Afrique in the first issue! Her piece on West African feminist supergroup Les Amazones d'Afrique drops soon! Our inaugural launch will have Molasses releasing three pieces each day! Check the link in our bio for our weekend pieces. Love, Molasses ❇️❇️❇️❤️

Some of her works are published included in the P.O.E.T Anthology Volume IV: Learning How to Overcome with the Power of the Pen (2016). Souliél is the recipient of the 2016 P.O.E.T Up & Coming Artist and P.O.E.T Author's Awards. She is currently working on her first spoken word album and in the works of publishing more of her written works as well as developing her craft as a singer-songwriter and musician for future projects and performances. #music #musicmag #musicblog #POC #artistsoninstagram #musiciansoninstagram #musiciansofcolor #artistsofcolor #writersofcolor #poc #pocart #art #pitches #music #magazine #blog #illustration #design #callforartists #molasses #mag #molassesmag
